Sanjay Krishnan has built two companies and sold one — Curo, a hospital workflow management platform he co-founded in 2007 during his MBA at IIM Bangalore, grew to serve 28 hospitals across South India before its 2019 acquisition, a bootstrapped exit achieved on product depth and customer retention rather than growth metrics alone. Twenty years into Indian entrepreneurship, he describes it as the easier of his two ventures.

His second company, HealthStack Technologies, founded in 2020, builds interoperability infrastructure connecting the fragmented data systems of India's primary health centres and district hospitals — less glamorous than consumer software, harder to sell than private hospital SaaS, and it secured its first government health department contract within eight months of founding.
NASSCOM recognised his public health interoperability work among its Top 10 Tech Leaders in 2023, following a NASSCOM Emerge 50 listing in 2020 and a Forbes India 30 Under 30 recognition in 2012 — a rare span of recognition across three distinct chapters of one career.
