Rohit Varma founded LearnSphere Technologies in 2020, following five years in product management at Byju's where he developed a specific view about what edtech was getting wrong. LearnSphere builds adaptive learning platforms for vocational skill certification — a deliberately narrow focus on the tens of millions of Indian workers who need structured, verifiable skills but for whom conventional online education is too expensive and too academically oriented.

He completed B.Tech — Computer Science at National Institute of Technology, Warangal (2013) — First class..

In four years he has grown to 12,000 active users across three skill domains and raised a seed round of ₹1.2 crores from angel investors. He is incubated at IIM Bengaluru's NSRCEL, selected from 340 applications as one of twelve companies for the Scale-up programme.

Reached 5,000 user milestone. First vocational certifications completed. (2022).
